This piece is about the reality that whatever we place beneath the surface still feeds something. Just like roots beneath soil, the unseen parts of our lives continue shaping what grows above ground.
The skull represents mortality, old versions of ourselves, and the weight we carry through life. The roots threading through it symbolize the connection between pain and growth. Every scar, lesson, and difficult season becomes part of the foundation.
And from that foundation rises life.
The dark velvet anthurium was chosen intentionally. Delicate yet resilient. Dark yet vibrant. Its deep coloration and veining almost resemble living tissue, reinforcing the idea that life still pulses through what was once buried.
This design is not about pretending pain never existed. It is about recognizing that growth often comes directly from it.

Printed as a heavy back graphic with minimalist front chest branding on the Next Level 6010 tri-blend tee. The lightweight 50/25/25 cotton, polyester, and rayon blend gives the shirt a soft stretch and broken-in feel from day one while still maintaining structure over time.

Twill tape covers the shoulder seams to stabilize the back of the garment and prevent stretching
DTF inner neck labels
The inner neck labels are printed using the Direct-to-Film (DTF) print method, while the rest of the prints are done with the Direct-to-Garment (DTG) method.
